New home to showcase our work in visitor and tourism research

To coincide with the launch of our new website, we are pleased to announce that we now have a new Tourism and visitors research specialism page, where we’ve brought together examples of our work with destinations, town and city centres, attractions, and events.

Over the years, we’ve supported a number of organisations with visitor and non-visitor research. These projects have explored key research questions such as who visits, what their experiences, satisfaction levels, and perceptions are, and what might encourage more people to visit in future.

For Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, we have delivered two waves of face-to-face visitor surveys across nine seafront locations, whilst our work with Kingston First included research with both visitors and non-visitors to help inform destination marketing and business planning.

For Manchester City Council, projects have included visitor evaluation at Manchester Day, research with potential audiences for the Our Town Hall visitor experience, and a visitor survey in Heaton Park. Then in Cheltenham, we have surveyed visitors about their experiences of the Christmas Market and other festive activities.

The new specialism page on our website showcases these case studies and explains how we can help organisations answer questions about their visitors and potential audiences, and evaluate their offering.
