How we work

Research methods

A full range of quantitative and qualitative research methods, tailored to your objectives and the audiences you need to reach.

The right approach

Methodology shaped to answer your research questions

We don't start with a preferred method, but look at what you need to understand, who you need to reach, and how the findings will be used.

Enventure Research uses quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, from large-scale surveys and face-to-face fieldwork to focus groups, depth interviews, consultation, and stakeholder engagement. We select and combine methods based on the audience, the research questions, and the evidence needed.

From your brief to evidence

The process of a research project

A clear process, with experienced researchers involved throughout.

Understand

Clarify the question, audience, context, and decisions the research needs to support.

Design

Choose the most appropriate methods, sample, and practical approach to participation.

Research

Deliver fieldwork effectively, whether online, by telephone, face-to-face, or qualitatively.

Analyse & communicate

Turn the evidence into clear findings, implications, and useful recommendations.

Our capabilities

Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research

We select and combine methods to suit the audience, subject matter, sample, and practical decisions the research needs to support.

01

Quantitative research and surveys

We design and deliver surveys for residents, members, professionals, customers, patients, and service users, using online, telephone/CATI, face-to-face, postal, or mixed-mode approaches. We can manage the full process from questionnaire design and sampling through to weighting, tracking, and benchmarking.

02

Qualitative research

We use focus groups, in-depth interviews and workshops to explore experiences, attitudes, and motivations in greater depth. Research can take place online, by telephone, or in person, with approaches adapted for sensitive subjects, specialist audiences, and complex questions.

03

Face-to-face, observational, and in-context research

Some questions are best answered where people actually live, work, travel, or use a service. We conduct on-street, doorstep, workplace, and transport fieldwork, alongside observation, accompanied tasks, and usability testing where real-world behaviour and experience matter.

Consultation and engagement

We deliver independent consultation and engagement with residents, members, service users, businesses and stakeholders, combining surveys, interviews, discussion groups, workshops, and targeted engagement. We also help reach seldom-heard groups and analyse consultation responses impartially.

Analysis and insight

Our analysis goes beyond headline percentages. We use subgroup analysis, significance testing, weighting, benchmarking, and segmentation where appropriate, alongside thematic qualitative analysis and mapping or geographical analysis when location adds useful context.

Reporting and turning evidence into action

We produce clear reports, presentations, and visual summaries that focus on the findings that matter and connect the evidence back to the decisions it needs to inform. Our researchers can also present findings and facilitate client discussions to help turn insight into action.

Choosing the right approach

An approach tailored to your objectives

We work with you to agree the most appropriate approach, based on your objectives, the audiences you need to reach, how representative the evidence needs to be, accessibility, the sensitivity and complexity of the subject, and how the findings will be used. This might mean a large-scale survey, carefully recruited depth interviews, or a mixed-method programme where one stage informs the next.
