The brief
- SYMCA wanted to review the current tram park and ride offer and identify potential development opportunities
- Enventure Research was appointed to deliver the passenger survey and provide independent reporting
The approach
- The questionnaire explored end-to-end travel patterns, frequency of use, journey purpose, reasons for choosing park and ride, and satisfaction with facilities
- Experienced IQCS-trained interviewers carried out interviews at park and ride sites and on trams travelling from those sites
- Quotas were set by site and respondents were selected randomly to provide a broad cross-section of users
The outcome
- 509 interviews were completed during a three-week fieldwork period
- Enventure Research analysed the feedback and produced a report including relevant demographic subgroup analysis
- The findings provide evidence to support further development of SYMCA’s park and ride offer
