The brief
- Northaw & Cuffley Parish Council wanted to engage residents and local businesses to inform its Neighbourhood Plan.
- The research needed to establish community priorities, likes and dislikes, use of facilities, investment views, and perceptions of the Parish Council.
The approach
- A 10-minute questionnaire was co-designed and piloted.
- Residents could take part online, on paper, or by telephone.
- Additional telephone interviews with a random community sample were used to reduce self-selection bias, while the survey was promoted widely across the area.
The outcome
- 559 responses were received.
- Enventure Research provided detailed analysis, subgroup findings, and a presentation to the Parish Council.
- The evidence was intended to inform the Neighbourhood Plan ahead of a local referendum.
