The project

Combining depth and breadth in a strategic consultation

A focused consultation programme designed to give key stakeholder groups a meaningful voice in strategic development.

01

The brief

As part of its wider Networks Review, IOSH wanted further consultation to inform development of its Volunteer Strategic Plan. Enventure Research was reappointed to gather independent feedback from key stakeholder groups.

02

The approach

We co-designed a discussion guide with IOSH and independently moderated four 90-minute focus groups with 24 volunteers, Council members, and staff. IOSH also administered a wider online survey, and 60 responses were shared with Enventure Research for independent analysis.

03

The outcome

Feedback from the focus groups and online survey was brought together in an independent report detailing the key findings.

  • A balanced evidence base combining detailed discussion with wider survey feedback.
  • Independent reporting of the views of volunteers, Council members, and staff.
  • Insight to help IOSH further develop and refine its Volunteer Strategic Plan.
