The project

Using employer feedback to test fitness for purpose

A targeted qualitative consultation designed to assess market support and identify practical refinements before launch.

01

The brief

IOSH had developed a Level 3 Certificate for new and aspiring OSH professionals and wanted employer evidence on market support, usefulness, and fitness for purpose before rollout.

02

The approach

We conducted seven depth interviews with employers of OSH professionals from a mix of sectors and organisation sizes. Participants reviewed the qualification summary and learning outcomes in advance, then took part in 40–45 minute Zoom interviews using a structured guide.

03

The outcome

Enventure Research analysed the employer feedback thematically and produced a report supported by verbatim comments.

  • Direct evidence of employer views on the proposed qualification.
  • Practical feedback on content and fitness for purpose.
  • Insight IOSH could use to fine-tune the qualification before market launch.
