The project

Capturing consultation feedback through multiple routes

A broad consultation programme designed to make sure views were gathered beyond those choosing to complete an open online survey.

01

The brief

The North of England Commissioning Support Unit required independent consultation and analysis on the future of urgent care provision at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton. Enventure Research supported the consultation design and was commissioned to capture, analyse, and report feedback from the public and stakeholders.

02

The approach

We supported development of the survey and consultation materials, analysed online and paper survey responses, completed 601 on-street interviews with local people, moderated four focus groups, and co-facilitated 13 public consultation events. Feedback from voluntary and community sector focus groups, emails, letters, telephone calls, and formal organisational responses was also incorporated.

03

The outcome

The consultation captured 2,064 instances of public engagement, including 1,011 online and paper survey responses. Enventure Research undertook thematic analysis across the different feedback routes and brought all evidence together in a comprehensive report used to help inform decisions about the future of local urgent care provision.
