The project

A shared survey with representative results for four local authority areas

A consistent research design provided an overall picture while retaining robust local evidence for each partner council.

01

The brief

Four partner councils needed current evidence on residents’ attitudes towards the COVID-19 pandemic and how it was affecting their lives. Enventure Research worked with the councils to design and deliver a survey across all four areas.

02

The approach

The questionnaire covered measures taken during the pandemic, intended behaviour around self-isolation, perceptions of the threat posed by the virus, understanding of government guidance, confidence in undertaking different activities, and intended vaccination uptake. Experienced interviewers completed 2,000 telephone interviews, 500 in each authority, with quotas on age, gender, and ethnicity.

03

The outcome

Enventure Research undertook comprehensive analysis, including relevant subgroup comparisons, and provided a detailed report. The findings gave each partner council evidence on the local impact of the pandemic and helped inform future decisions.

  • 2,000 telephone interviews across four local authorities
  • 500 interviews in each council area
  • Age, gender, and ethnicity quotas for representative samples
  • Subgroup analysis and comparable evidence across the four areas
