The brief
- CILEx Regulation operates within a legal services environment where regulators face increasing expectations around transparency, independence, and clarity of remit.
- CRL commissioned independent research to understand stakeholder perceptions, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and inform future priorities.
The approach
- An online survey measured awareness, understanding, and perceptions of CRL using both closed and open-ended questions.
- 949 responses were received from authorised members, non-authorised members, and people studying or training.
- Twenty confidential depth interviews added perspectives from regulated entities, members, education providers and wider legal and regulatory stakeholders.
The outcome
- Enventure Research produced a comprehensive report bringing together the quantitative and qualitative evidence.
- The research explored awareness and understanding of CRL's role, trust and confidence, perceived strengths and areas for improvement.
- The findings are being used to support future communications, stakeholder engagement, and organisational strategy.
