The project

Giving company members a meaningful voice in change

A focused consultation designed to test a specific membership proposal and understand both levels of support and the reasons behind them.

01

The brief

Following a wider review of its membership structure, CIOB proposed a new subscription model for Company Members based on turnover. Enventure Research was appointed to deliver an independent consultation so members could have their say on the proposal.

02

The approach

We co-designed an online questionnaire using a mix of closed questions, Likert scales, and open text. Personalised invitations were sent to named Company Member contacts, with up to three reminders to maximise participation.

03

The outcome

The consultation generated 239 responses, representing a 13% response rate. We undertook subgroup analysis and detailed thematic coding of verbatim comments before producing a full report for CIOB.

  • Independent evidence on member views of the proposed model.
  • Subgroup analysis to identify differences between different types of Company Member.
  • Detailed qualitative insight to inform decision-making, not just headline levels of support.
