The brief
- Barnet Council needed to seek views on renewing its additional licensing scheme for houses in multiple occupation and introducing a new selective licensing scheme.
The approach
- The Council designed and hosted the online questionnaire.
- Enventure Research analysed the survey, coded open-ended responses, and incorporated additional responses received by email.
- Three online consultation events were held with residents and tenants, and landlords and agents.
The outcome
- Analysis included subgroup work to understand potential impacts on different communities.
- Qualitative feedback from events was thematically analysed and supported with anonymised quotations.
- All evidence was brought together in a comprehensive report to support Council decision making.
