Enventure Research was commissioned by NHS Wakefield CCG (now Wakefield District Health & Care Partnership and part of NHS West Yorkshire ICB) to conduct a survey of patients registered with a Wakefield GP to understand their views and needs regarding accessing services outside of the core practice opening hours.
Over 8,000 responses were received to the online survey, hosted by Enventure Research, following promotion by the CCG. Paper copies could be requested from GP practices and an accessible version of the online survey was also made available to ensure as many patients could take part in the survey as possible.
Following this survey, patients registered with a GP in Wakefield will be able to access GP services outside of the core opening hours on weekday evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays from 1 October 2022.
