Wakefield Council is responsible for the commissioning of the Healthy Child Programme, a Public Health programme that starts during pregnancy and continues through early years and school life of young people. Commissioning is undertaken under one integrated contract, known as the 0-19 Children’s Public Health Service or ‘0-19 Service’.
Wakefield Council is currently undertaking a review of the 0-19 Service to subsequently plan the future of the Health Visiting, School Nursing and Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) services.
The Council has commissioned Enventure Research to engage with stakeholders to gather insight into the current services provided, how these meet the needs of the local population and what opportunities there are to transform services further.
