The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is undertaking a review of the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) which provides various routes into membership. As part of the review, it delivered an online survey of small and large consultancies, current APC assessors, public sector workers, recently elected Chartered and Associate members, and current Licentiate members – over 11,000 recipients in total.
A bigger than expected response was received (690). Due to the large number of free-text questions in the survey, RTPI came to Enventure Research to analyse the survey data and produce an independently written report of the findings.
The survey data was thoroughly analysed, including detailed thematic coding of the free-text responses to understand the key issues being raised by respondents. The detailed findings were presented in an accessible report for the RTPI, which will inform discussions about what will be required of candidates, how APC candidates might be assessed, and how the RTPI can support APC candidates and their employers.
Enventure Research often provides support to organisations who have administered their own survey but require assistance with analysis and reporting. To find out how we could help with your research, please get in touch.
