Enventure Research has recently been appointed to provide independent analysis and reporting on the responses gathered to a public consultation regarding the proposed merger of two GP practices, the Kirton Lindsey Surgery and Hawthorn Surgery, Scotter.
The proposed merger would retain all current staff and allow the continuation of services at both sites, with the proposed new practice becoming known as ‘The Kirton Lindsey and Scotter Surgery’. An application has been submitted to NHS England to formally merge the two practices, with a decision expected in 2018.
A postal and online consultation document has been made available to all patients registered at both practices to measure levels of support for the proposal and to allow the opportunity to express any concerns and raise questions about the proposed merger.
The responses to the consultation will be provided to Enventure Research for analysis purposes. An independent report will be produced which details the findings and will help inform NHS England and both North Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire West CCGs in their decision making.
