Since 2019, Enventure Research has delivered an annual community survey of Thamesmead residents on behalf of Peabody and its partners, ARUP and The Social Innovation Partnership (TSIP). This five-year research project has run alongside the regeneration of Thamesmead, led by Peabody, with the aim of understanding residents’ views on their local area and tracking attitudes over time to ensure the regeneration being carried out meets the needs of residents.
The fifth and final Thamesmead Community Survey was carried out in September 2023 and covered topics such as overall perceptions of and satisfaction with Thamesmead, perceptions of the regeneration in Thamesmead, frequency of certain activities, identifying problems in Thamesmead and perceptions of Peabody.
The report from the 2023 survey highlighted positive changes amongst Thamesmead residents since 2019 such as improved satisfaction with the local area, improved sense of belonging to the local area and problems being seen to decrease.
