Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council has been undertaking a programme of engagement with its residents, businesses and partners to inform its Corporate Plan refresh. As part of this evidence base building, Enventure Research was commissioned to undertake a survey of Blackburn with Darwen residents.
The survey was designed by Enventure Research and the Council using LGA’s ‘Are you being served?’ questions for benchmarking, in addition to bespoke questions to cover topics of interest to the Council such as transparency, engagement with local communities, climate change, customer service, anti-social behaviour and crime, and volunteering. The survey was conducted via telephone interviews with a representative sample of residents, in addition to being made available as an online self-completion survey which was open to all residents aged 16+ to complete.
A full report was produced by Enventure Research detailing the survey findings to provide insight into residents’ opinions and views about the Council, the services it provides, its priorities and the local area. These findings will be used to inform the new Corporate Plan for 2023-27.
