Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) has been consulting with its communities and partners in recent times to test proposals in relation to changing the way it supports its residents. Feedback received from this consultation process has been used to further develop and refine the proposals the Council has made, resulting in three draft policies: Active Communities, Active Individuals and Growing Older in Gloucestershire.
Enventure Research has been appointed to plan and deliver the second part of the consultation to help further shape the draft policies, issues and ideas and their implementation in Gloucestershire.
The consultation approach will take the form of a combination of focus groups and workshops with a cross-section of residents, service users, partners and community and voluntary organisations, gathering high quality evidence of views. The research will seek to find out whether the draft policies are the right ones to deliver the Council’s change in approach and what the Council needs to change in the way it works and behaves in order to make it easier for communities and partners to work with them.
Upon completion of the research, final reporting will collate the findings and provide clear and practical conclusions and recommendations based around the three draft policies.
