Enventure Research recently conducted an independent stakeholder engagement exercise on behalf of Leeds City Council to assess services strengths and development opportunities regarding the 0-19 Public Health Integrated Nursing Service (PHINS).
The 0-19 PHINS service, comprising Health Visiting, School Nursing and the oral health offer, works in partnership with families and a range of services to ensure that children across Leeds have the best possible start in life.
Online and paper surveys were undertaken targeting parents and carers, PHINS staff and partners, exploring knowledge and use of the service, how effectively it meets needs, and how it can better support families and address health inequalities. Insight gathered from the surveys was supplemented by a series of focus groups and depth interviews.
The consultation findings provided the Council with important feedback from a broad range of stakeholders, identifying potential areas for development during its 0-19 service review.
A summary of the findings has been published online by the Council and can be viewed here.
